Hi, First time on this forum. Is it possible to know where is the best place to hold my SFX library. Yesterday I just put it in my asset folder but I am not sure this is the way to go to keep a decent and lean project. If it is in my asset folder than I can easily hit the scan project button to scan all sounds but if I put it somewhere else outside the asset folder like a external hard drive I have no idea how to scan the library so I am unable to copy/import the needed sounds into my project with the bulk audio importer. Thank you for your help!

If it's not in the Assets folder, it's not in the Unity project at all. So just import sounds you need from wherever into Assets folder when you need it. If you no longer need it, delete it from Assets.
