Hello!
I'm making a classic RPG style of game with help from The Dialogue System for Unity. There will be a lot of scenes and I've set MasterAudio to be persistent.
Would it be reasonable to let dialogue from each conversation exist as separate sound groups with a shared BUS? Functionally this feels well organized and gives me lots of room for control, but I can imagine that the MasterAudio parent object is going to end up with quite a few children. I'm not sure if this is a concern, though?
How do people normally attack this idea?

Each character can have a Dynamic Sound Group Creator of its own containing the character's dialog. Then you don't have to put everything on the Master Audio game object. Aside from that, I agree with everything you said. Should work well! Whether you want a shared bus or not depends on a lot of things, run with that first and re-visit if you run into any problems. You can always ask more questions here if you find something not working the way you want.

Dynamic sound groups look perfect, I hadn't noticed that yet, thank you very much!
