Just seen Master Audio 2022: AAA Sound on the asset store. Exciting, as I'm a big fan and long time user of both Master Audio and Master Audio Multiplayer.
The description mentions "Upgrade pricing" but I just see it at the full introductory price. Can you confirm whether that's an Asset Store glitch?
Also, for info, the new asset is being mentioned on a game dev discord that I'm active on and there are a few grumbles about "look another asset I own that has a newer version that doesn’t tell me why I should upgrade (aka buy a new version) and no discount for existing customers"
I can see on the asset's Releases tab a list of "Changes since last version of Master Audio" but many appear to be bug fixes. Could you maybe list the new features, or reasons for someone who already owns both of the older assets to make the move?
I totally get that you've been supporting this for years with no additional income, and imho you more than deserve a bit of a cash influx for your time and dedication (e.g. support on this forum has always been amazing). But I think you may need to try to explain things a bit better to new and particularly existing customers.
There's a bit of a history on the unity asset store of developers who deprecate an asset only to release a new yearly version. The naming "Master Audio 2022" is a bit scary and could make people think there'll be 2023, 2024 versions etc.
Hope that makes sense. As I've said, I'm very much a fan of your work and wanted to let you know how things might be perceived. I get that developers aren't necessarily good at marketing, so it's very much offered (take it or leave it) with the very best of intentions
