Hello,
I have some issues using reverb zones. Reverb is applied to audio sources I use in the scene without problem. However, any sound triggered through MA (i.e. sound groups) are bypassing the reverb zone. I also want some sound groups to especially bypass the reverb zones (such as sound groups I use for music), and don't know how to do that either.
In general, could you please give some advice on how to use reverb zones with MA?

Unless the Audio Source (located in the Variations under each Sound Group and 2 in each Playlist Controller) are set to "bypass reverb zones" (which defaults to unchecked), they will use reverb zones while they are located within the zone. Nothing can prevent that except that toggle. Have you double-checked that the Audio Sources in question are located within the zone while the sound is playing? I'm not sure how you're playing the sounds. They need to "follow caller" or "play at caller location" to actually move to a location. Otherwise they play from the location of the Master Audio game object yourself, which probably is not where your reverb zone is. If you don't understand what that means, show me how you're trigger the sounds (EventSounds script / code / etc).
For music, the Playlist Controller itself would need to sit within the reverb zone.
If you are using Unity 5, you can use the new Unity Audio Mixer asset, and put effects such as reverb on each Mixer Group channel (unavailable before v5).
By the way, you shouldn't be using any Audio Sources that aren't controlled by Master Audio as you basically lose all the fine control MA provides over them. I assume you did that just for a test.

Ok, actually I didn't know how to integrate audio zones to MA before your post, so thanks for that!
Now what I did is:
1. I created an "ambiance" sound group, then added variations such as, wind, birds, etc, then tweaked their diffusion zones.
2. Added eventSounds script to related game objects in certain positions in my scene. These scripts start single variations in my sound group, and they are attached to the caller.
3. Added the reverb zone(s) in the scene separetaly from MA.
4. Make sure that my sounds are not 2D, so they are not bypassing the rev. zone.
I hope this is a decent pipeline.
One more question:
Is it wise to change transform settings (e.g. positions) of the variations in order to create spatial ambiance, or should one just change the caller object's position (like I did)?
One request:
Please add "adding audio filters on busses feature" on the next update!

Changing the position of the Variation has no effect as they are reset to local position 0,0,0 when you hit play, so you did it right.
Please clarify your audio filter bus feature. I believe you should be hooking up your buses to Unity Mixer Groups and adding the filters on the Unity mixer.

I'm in Unity 4.6 atm (concerning the Unity mixers). But the filters I'm talking about are stuff like distortion, reverb, echo etc., and applying them on the Busses (I guess now you can only add them on Variations).

It's not possible, sorry. Our buses are only used for calculations of volume, muting, soloing and voice limiting. They don't actually process any audio. And filter effects are only allowed on the Audio Sources themselves (or on Mixer Groups in Unity 5).
Regarding bus ducking, again that is possible with Unity 5. At this point we're very unlikely to be adding features that are native to Unity 5, since a lot more people will be switching over faster than we originally thought, due to the vast majority of features now begin offered in the free "personal" edition of Unity 5.
