This is probably a known issue, but here goes. I created a new playlist with several mp3 tracks and have it play automatically on awake. It progresses fine from track to track, but every second track plays with ~20 of the volume. Ducking enabled or not makes no difference. This is version 3.5.5. Tried different tracks - same issue.

I don't know about this issue. Will try to reproduce on my machine.

I couldn't reproduce the problem. How do you know the song's volume is reduced by 20%? Are you reading a volume somewhere that has the wrong value?

Rough guesstimate - but not reduced by 20% - rather reduced to 20%. It gets real quiet. This is very persistent. With 3 tracks first time through 1 = normal, 2 = quiet, 3 = normal. The 2nd pass the first track is quiet, the 2nd normal and so forth. All tracks are mp3 and play back normally otherwise. This happens when scrubbing as well. Master Audio is persisted through all scenes - the clips are 30 secs length. I attached some pics of the various other settings.

Solved!
Tried a couple of things. Replacing the mp3s with wav files - same result. Removing Master Audio completely and reinstalling it - same results.
Finally it occurred to me that this might be another one of the infamous 2d / 3d sound issues and indeed it was. After resetting all mp3s to 2d explicitly, things worked fine. Sorry to have wasted your time with this. Hopefully this post will help others.

Aha, I've seen that happen before. Forgot to suggest it.

I had same issue with 2nd clip in playlist not audible. Changed 3d to 2d and the problem was fixed.
Thanks

I've added a section at the end of the readme now "best practices" which should help. Please take a read.
