Hello there,
I'm wondering how to lower the volume of the playlist when certain voices are playing and then return it to the original volume when the voices stop.
Here's the scenario:
While the heroine is working in the woods, there's an exciting background music (BGM) playing. When the heroine picks up a coin and says something cool, the BGM is too loud, making it difficult for the player to hear her. Ideally, when she says something, the BGM should temporarily decrease in volume until she finishes her line.
I've been using Master Audio for quite some time, but I've never utilized the pro features for tasks like this. Could you please provide some guidance?
Thanks!

Hi there,
I'm looking into ducking, and I have a couple of questions:
1. Is Audio Duck the same as Music Duck? I'm using Master Audio AAA 2022 and can only find Music Duck.
2. How can I make the unduck time equal to the sound's length?
Thanks!

Correct, there's only music ducking and no other kind. The section header is called Audio Ducking.
Set the Ducking Time for that sound equal to the length of the clip.

I wrote some code to automatically add duck sound groups. It's working now, but I don't know if I'm doing it correctly. For instance, I don't know what will happen if the duck time exceeds 5 seconds. Please let me know if there are things I need to be aware of. Otherwise, thanks for the help!

That looks to be adding multiple entries for each DuckGroup that has more than one Variation. You can only add once for each. Hopefully the code is smart enough to not let you exceed the length of the clip.

Got it! I only have one variation in the sound group, and I'll make sure not to exceed the clip's length.
Thank you very much! Appreciated!

Another question about ducking: I noticed that ducking has a limit of 5 seconds, so if I duck the music for a sound effect that lasts more than 5 seconds, it doesn't work as expected. Is there a way to extend the duck time?

The sound effect can be super long, but the ducking won't be. You really shouldn't need even 5 seconds. It's meant to use just with the transient part of loud sound effects, which lies at the beginning. So no.

Got it, I'll work on adjusting the volume of the playlist then. Thanks!
