One of my use cases is to have the music currently playing on a scene, continue playing until the next scene is loaded. I was considering creating the music with Dynamic Sound Group Creator, but I know it'll be destroyed when the level unloads.
What's the prescribed route for tacking this? Should I Don't Destroy on Load the Dynamic Sound Group Creator and the destroy it manually once the next scene is ready to take over?
ALSO, some scenes share the same music so in that case, I'd like the music to stick around. But if i use Dynamic Sound Group Creator, I'd end up with identical sound groups, right? How should I tackle that?

Then don't destroy the thing containing the music. Keep your music in Master Audio, not DSGC. If you're worried about memory usage, use Resource Files, Addressables or "Preload Audio Data" off for all music as the Best Pratices page describes.
I don't understand your question about identical Sound Groups, you'll need to restate that more elaborately.

Hey Brian, thanks for the information! That makes sense. I'll use addressables for music that persists between scenes.
