Is there any way to change the name of a sound group so that it's not just the same of the first audio clip you drag in?

Sure, select it in the Hierarchy or click the gear icon in the Master Audio Mixer (which will select it in the Hierarchy) and rename it, either in the Inspector up top or in the Hierarchy itself.

Sure, select it in the Hierarchy or click the gear icon in the Master Audio Mixer (which will select it in the Hierarchy) and rename it, either in the Inspector up top or in the Hierarchy itself. What the developer doesnt mention is that if you do this, references to the sound will be broken meaning you'll have to reconnect the renamed sound to everything that calls it. If you click the magnifying glass you can see those connections, but it only works for objects in the scene as far as I can tell, which is honestly useless. The true answer to this should be: When making a new sound group, you better make sure your naming convention is exactly perfect the first time you drag it in or else. Its insane!

Correct, it only works for objects in the Scene. There's really no way for Relations Inspector to query prefabs in the Project View. It's not useless, it can be very useful for some cases. If you don't have anything in the Scene sure it's not very useful.
By the way, there was a bug around renaming the Sound Group in the Hierarchy where the name change wasn't reflected in the mixer. That has been fixed for the next update.
