Ambient Sound Not Playing?

Hi I have a scene where I want to use an ambient sound. I've attached the AmbientSound script to an object, but when my character goes near the object, no sound plays. If I use an EventSounds script with an OnEnable trigger, then it works just fine. I've made sure to set the Physics collisions so that Ignore Raycast can collide with Ignore Raycast. Are there other parameters that I need to consider to make AmbientSound work?
