SOLUTION: I had the re-made all the groups and re-assign all clips and it started working. Little bit frustrating but I am happy that things work now I just recently updated Unity (4.6) and Master Audio to newest versions. Now none of the audio clips play anymore. I can hear the audio when pressing sound group preview button from Group Mixer, but it seems to play from another location than where my audio listener is. What is interesting is that when I press preview button from the Sound Group game object (Master Audio Group Script) it does not play. And it doesn't even play in editor. Also I can't preview any sounds through sound variation game object (Sound Group Variation Script). I am using Playmaker actions and mostly "Master Audio Play Sound" action. I am quite sure that it is not the problem as when I trigger the action in-game, I can see volume color bars activate in Group Mixer but I cant hear the sound. I am not sure what is going on, but it seems like the audio does play fine but it is located somewhere far away from my Audio Listener. However I can't prove this because I can't see any audio gizmos popping in and out in the scene.

Yes, it is because they sounds are playing too far away from your Audio Listener. You should change your Audio Group Template so it uses one with a larger range.
When you hit preview on the Master Audio prefab (including Group and Variation preview buttons), it plays from the location of the Master Audio prefab. Perhaps when you recreated things, the MA prefab was in a different location.
