hello, i am a bit puzzled about the looping approach of the variation list in a single soundgroup. when using "top to bottom" variations in a soundgroup i cannot figure out how how to have a gapless (polyphon) looping point from last to first variation when i shoot play sound multiple times. As an example i use just 2 variations in a soundgroup and set tit "top to bottom". Now it will play the 2 sounds in order (and overlapp the two sounds) . But after that it it will not return to the first variation for a certain amount of time. I cannot figure out why this is the case. I recogniced that cranking up the weights setting of the variations will help with that matter. But i dont find a setting where the "top to bottom" rule is obeyed AND i don't have a loop gap as well.... Actually I don't understand why the weights are used in a top to bottom scenario at all... Before i had the same problem when using a single variation in a sound group. There i figured out that setting the variation weight to 100 solves the problem.
Edit: After doing some more testing i realize that cranking up the weight to 100 (for single variation replay) doesent fully help. Its very fuzzy when there is a gapless loop and when not. it might 3 times work and then 1 time not

Top to bottom does use all the Variations (including clones created by weight) before refilling the pool and starting over, which is different than "chain loop" which automatically fires off the next Variation when one ends.
Note that if you try to play the first (or any) sound again and it's still playing from the first time, it will not be able to play again unless it has extra clones or Retrigger Percentage is set to allow interrupting of the current play. So it will move on and try to find a non-busy Variation in that case and play that instead.

Thanks for clarification! I think i get it now. I also re-read the manual :-) Setting the "retrigger percentage" to 0 does the trick for me. It will keep the variations free to play and cut off the first played if necessarry. To prevent the cutoff i can duplicate the variation (or variation list) so the first variation has enough time to end before being cutted off.
