How do I check the playlist controller prior to calling UnpauseEverything(). The reason is that if the controller is already playing and I call UnpauseEverything() it restarts the song at the beginning. That is no good for me. I see that there is a playlistStates enum but i'm not sure how to use it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You're on the right track. Get the PlaylistState to see if it's paused, stopped, or what.
You could use code like this:
var state = PlaylistController.Instances[0].PlaylistState; switch (state) { case PlaylistController.PlaylistStates.Paused: // do something break; case PlaylistController.PlaylistStates.Stopped: // do something break; case PlaylistController.PlaylistStates.Playing: // do something break; }
There are another couple states too.
