Recently we upgraded to Unity 5.2 (currently on MA 3.5) and now I notice that some sound files playing through MasterAudio have a pop at the end. The pop, however, is not in the sound file itself - just when it's played or auditioned through MA. Not all sounds though. Just some. Any idea what's going on or what to do?

Sorry but I don't. I believe it's just a Unity 5 bug. I noticed the same thing myself. We just use the standard Unity audio API to preview sounds, so there should be nothing we're contributing to the problem. I would try different compressions and/or sound formats. You might also want to ask this question on the Unity audio forum. And no need to mention Master Audio since I don't think it is relevant. Here's the Unity audio forum link: forum.unity3d.com/forums/audio.74/

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to keep it .wav. Do you think I should try .ogg? I'm just worried about introducing delay on decompression.
How do you guys get around this issue?

Yeah don't go to mp3, bad performance. We don't have this issue currently on our new game. I would still have you ask on the Unity audio forum. Ogg is worth a shot.

Just a passing thought as I happened to check this thread: Do the sound files which pop have zero out on last sample? Ending a sample in non-zero value is a very common cause for pops & clicks at the end of audio files

I doubt it since it worked on previous Unity version. Good thought though.

Thanks for the suggestion, boygorge. The sound file itself contains no pop. It's only when the sound is played through the Editor that the pop is introduced.

Ask this question on Unity audio forum. You will get an answer there.

Just thought I'd add my two cents. I've purchased Master Audio today and came across this very same problem. I fixed it by setting all sound effects to be compressed in memory and all music to be streaming. The key here is not to use the "Decompress on Load" feature. This seems to be a standard Unity 5 issue and not related to Master Audio.

Thanks for that. We haven't had to use those settings and if "compressed in memory" means that it turns wav into mp3's, that's insanely bad for performance (sound effects). If not, it's ok. Streaming music is ok if not layering music.
